Where Curiosity Meets Nature

A Place to Grow, Wonder, and Belong

At Timber & Tide Explorers, curiosity leads the way—guiding children through a world of questions, stories, and discovery. Our outdoor, play-based program—open to explorers ages 3 and up—nurtures a lasting connection to the natural world through unstructured exploration, loose parts play, and imaginative experiences under the trees. Each day begins at our “base camp,” where imaginations ignite and friendships take root. From there, we venture into the forest—building, observing, listening, leading, and weaving stories from sticks and stones, sunlight and soil.Children grow side by side—building confidence, empathy, and communication through shared adventures and meaningful connection. No walls. No desks. Just wild spaces, open time, and the freedom to explore.Come join us—where curiosity meets nature, and learning comes alive.

How We Walk Alongside Little Explorers

At Timber & Tide Explorers, guiding means more than leading — it means walking alongside each child with curiosity, care, and respect. Our guide holds space for wonder, listens deeply to children’s questions, and supports their natural rhythms as they explore the forest and themselves. This approach creates a safe, nurturing environment where confidence and language grow through hands-on discovery and storytelling. Here, learning happens at the pace of nature. With over a decade of experience in early childhood—including home-based care, outdoor education, and parent support—I bring both hands-on insight and an academic foundation to my role as founder and guide. My degree in Early Childhood Education and time spent interning at an outdoor preschool deepened my love for nature-based, child-led learning. You’ll often find me reading aloud at a tree stump, building fairy homes with pinecones, or following the questions that arise from muddy play.
